“It is through the journey we become wise.” Richard Wagamese

As a global explorer, I have a deep passion for journeys of the Earth and of the Spirit, and their ability to spark new clarity, wonder, inner knowing… and wild possibility.

Travel (both inner and outer) has activated some of my greatest awakenings, as I mentioned in a previous blog post. I love how one of my friends and colleagues replied in her email: “I need an awakening!”

I hear you, sister.

There are trips, and there are journeys.

Trips can be interesting and filled with Instagram moments and new experiences; journeys can expand your soul and awaken you to more of who you really are.

What happens if we open our hearts and empty our minds to reveal the wisdom of different cultures, traditions, and the whispers of Nature herself? To tune into the wisdom of the trees, the land, and the animals.

Maybe even listen to a mountain that’s calling us.

When I climbed Mt. Kilimanjaro at the tender age of 55, it was a journey of focus, physical endurance, mindfulness, and stretching to new limits. And when I stepped onto the summit (at 19,341 feet) and stood on the “roof of Africa” I saw myself, and my life, differently.

Standing at the top of Kilimanjaro inspired a new worldview. What once seemed impossible now looked “doable.” The mountain became a metaphor for new beginnings, new heights… new wisdom.

I returned home with renewed creative energy and laser insights to bring projects to fruition with greater ease, elegance, and execution.

Within two months of my return from Africa, at a beautiful live event held in an art gallery surrounded by paintings of Kenyan wildlife, I launched my book Creating the Impossible: What it takes to bring your vision to life.

The book became a bestseller and inspired other offerings including workshops, retreats, and intuitive guidance sessions, to help clients unlock their highest wisdom and creative power.

“Wisdom wins in the new consciousness,” says Lee Harris, an intuitive guide and spiritual teacher.

For me, time in Nature is one of our greatest allies and sources of wisdom to catalyze healing, growth, and shifts in consciousness.

I love immersive experiences in beautiful natural environments as a way to go a little ‘wild,’ do something I have never done before or explore somewhere I have never been, and get in touch with my inner wisdom.

What is your wild and wise soul calling you to create or experience next?

Are you ready to leave the familiar and what you already know, and play in the magic, and wisdom, of the unknown?

Catch your spirit of adventure and limitless nature, and join me in Africa for a guided Magic of Namibia tour taking place Sept. 29 – October 9, 2023.

With love and adventure,
Barbara
